You're right. I got off the Les Miles wagon last night. The way he mismanaged the end of that game was indefensible. It was just horrible. I am a life-long LSU fan and have been a supporter of Miles, but I am finally convinced that Miles is going to drive LSU football into the ground before we finally move on. Very frustrating.

Thank you, Matt! I'm finding quantum physics fascinating, yet hard to really put my hands around. The page I read initially is found at the following link: library.thinkquest.org/3487/qp.html. Not sure what you think of it.

In regards to my inquiry into quantum physics' application to life overall, I read in the link given above about The Copenhagen Interpretation, in which the author refers to Niels Bohr: " it is meaningless to ascribe any properties or even existence to anything that has not been measured21. Bohr is basically saying that nothing is real unless it is observed." Not sure yet to make of this. Any thoughts?

Hi Danny,

I am a quantum physicists and I have a collection of links to reliable sources on quantum theory, particularly foundational issues, on my website:

http://mattleifer.info/links/quantum-foundations/

I recommend you check out the section entitled "Popular Books Focussed on Quantum Theory" as a first step.

As for its application to "life over all", I am not sure what you mean by that. If you mean applications to human biology and consciousness and so forth then the answer is that there aren't any, despite what you might have heard from some essentially crackpot sources. As for non-human life, there is a small amount of very recent evidence that quantum mechanics plays a role in photosynthesis and the operation of the avian compass. However, if you mean applications to technology that affects human life, then there are plenty. For example, the transistor, from which modern computers are built, depends on quantum mechanics for its explanation, as do many medical imaging techniques such as magnetic resonance imaging.

I am glad to hear that Hunt has responded quickly to the concerns about the Great Commision Resurgence task force. I want the recommendations that come from this task force to be looked at closely, and having a wide range of people helps that cause.`

Hey there! Found your blog researching info about Coppenger and Cabal. I'm interested in the modular PhD in Christian Philosophy at SBTS. Is that what you call "Southern?" Send me an email so I can pick your brain a bit about SBTS' Philo PhD.

The works that Jesus did. Raising the dead, healing the sick, casting out devils and much more. Is a Christian a Christian that has no works? Jesus said a branch that bears no fruit will be cut off. However I feel that "in the last days My spirit will be poured out" means maybe not much is happening for now.

So, what is a Christian who has never performed a miracle? Also, what would you define as a miracle?
